The City of Alpharetta has officially opened its newest public park, Waters Road Park, on May 16. Situated at 3395 Kimball Bridge Road, the park spans 1.6 acres and offers a variety of amenities including a walking trail, playground, restroom facilities, and passive greenspace.

Designed as a neighborhood park, Waters Road Park primarily serves residents within walking distance. In order to maximize land usage for recreation and enjoyment, limited space has been allocated for vehicle parking.

The construction of Waters Road Park, which cost $1.25 million, is one of the projects funded by the $29.5 million Parks Bond approved by Alpharetta voters in November 2021. The bond's funds are assisting the city in achieving its goal of providing a park within a 10-minute walk for every resident. Additionally, it is facilitating improvements to many existing public parks.
