Alpharetta offers household hazardous waste collection for residents

Alpharetta residents have the opportunity to recycle or properly dispose of their household hazardous waste and paint through a one-day collection event on Saturday, June 15, 2024. The event is limited to those residing within the Alpharetta City Limits and the number of participants is capped.

Items accepted include paint and related substances, old gasoline, home, auto, and garden chemicals, poisons, among other substances.

Pre-registration is required for this collection event and the form can be found online. Registration ends on Monday June 10, 2024. There is no charge for acceptable items. A more complete listing can be found on the registration form. This service is not available to Alpharetta businesses.

Once registered, items will be accepted on June 15, 2024, between the hours of 8:30 am and 1:00 pm with no exceptions. Residents are instructed to remain in their vehicles at the collection site while technicians unload their items.

To participate in this event:

• Complete a pre-registration form by Monday, June 10, 2024.

• Bring your confirmation form with your items on June 15, 2024.

• Safely transport items to the collection site keeping them in original containers and separated.
