On May 1, Mid Broadwell Park, the City of Alpharetta’s newest public park space, officially opened its doors to the public. Situated at 1480 Mid Broadwell Road, the 4-acre park boasts a range of amenities aimed at providing recreational opportunities for residents. Among the features are a walking trail and a playground equipped with two sets of slides, a sideways rope swing, water play stations, and more.

Designed as a neighborhood park, Mid Broadwell Park primarily serves residents within walking distance. With a focus on maximizing fun and enjoyment, there is limited space allocated for vehicle parking on the premises. This setup encourages local residents to engage with the park and enjoy its offerings without the need for extensive travel.

The construction of Mid Bradwell Park, amounting to $500,000, is part of the broader initiative funded by the $29.5 million Parks Bond approved by Alpharetta voters in November 2021. This investment reflects the city's commitment to enhancing public spaces and ensuring that every Alpharetta resident has access to a park within a 10-minute walk. Additionally, the allocation of funds from the bond is facilitating improvements in existing public parks across the city.

The opening of Mid Broadwell Park marks a significant milestone in Alpharetta's efforts to create accessible and enjoyable green spaces for its community members. With its diverse recreational amenities and strategic location, the park is poised to become a popular destination for local residents seeking outdoor leisure activities.
