Georgia Tech football head coach Geoff Collins earlier this month announced the signing of Florida wide receiver Jullian “Juju” Lewis.
GT hopes the 14th member of its incoming recruiting class will bring good “Juju” to the Yellow Jackets offense.
“We’re excited to officially welcome Jullian to the Georgia Tech football family,” Collins said in a school issue press release. “We’re very pleased with our talented group of newcomers, which currently includes 14 incoming true freshmen and seven transfers. They are all great young men that have a chance to be special players on the football field. I can’t wait to get back to work on the field with our group in less than three weeks and to welcome our entire team to The Flats this summer.”
The signing comes after Lewis paid an official visit to the school.
According to the release, the 6-foot-2, 205-pound Davie, Fla., native, a prolific wideout for Western High School, hails from one of the most talent-rich areas in the nation.
The three-star recruit completed his senior season for the Wildcats with 77 receptions for 1,260 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2021, good enough to land him on a pair of all-Broward County first teams, the release said.
During the course of his prep career that began at Fort Lauderdale’s Stranahan High School, Lewis tallied nearly 150 catches for 2,378 yards and 25 touchdowns.
According to GT’s website, Lewis will continue to be teammates with Western defensive back Jaylin Marshall, who also inked a National Letter of Intent with the Yellow Jackets.
Lewis is part of a recruiting class that consists of eight four-star recruits according to Rivals, 247Sports and/or ESPN, the school said.
The Yellow Jackets additionally signed seven transfers who began matriculating at The Flats in January.
