Serge Jerome, a 33-year-old Sandy Springs attorney, has been placed under arrest for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman who sought legal guidance from him.
The incident allegedly occurred while Jerome was conducting a legal consultation inside the woman's, Fox 5 Atlanta reported.
"They were meeting to discuss a case," Sgt. Salvador Ortega, a Sandy Springs police public information officer, told Fox 5 Atlanta. "I haven't seen anything in my 15 years of police services."
Jerome was arrested on Dec. 20 during a traffic stop and now faces charges of aggravated sodomy and sexual assault, Fox 5 Atlanta reported. He was refused bond during a preliminary hearing and will stay at the Fulton County jail.
The State Bar of Georgia currently lists Jerome as an active member in good standing, Fox 5 Atlanta reported.
Jerome was arrested after medical professionals examined a rape kit and police met with the victim and retrieved phone records, Fox 5 Atlanta reported.
