John Collins is adding improved passing to his game as he hopes for his first all-star game nod this season.
Ever since Collins joined NBA, he has improved on many fronts. After completing two seasons at Wake Forest, the Hawks have confirmed that Collins will be an above-average roll man and also a good finisher, according to NBA.com.
"It's awesome," teammate Trae Young told NBA.com. "He makes plays. He's getting better. He's learning just how to make reads. He is able to catch lobs and he has a great IQ for the game, but he's definitely grown in the area of making reads."
Collins has formed a deadly connection with Clint Capela, already assisting the center 11 times in just nine games this season. Capela has converted these 11 baskets on just 12 attempts, NBA.com said. Ridley didn't travel with the team during its October trip to London to face the New York Jets.
At nearly three assists a game thus far this season, Collins is almost doubling his average from last season, NBA.com reported.
Since joining the Hawks out of Wake Forest, Collins has also improved his shooting over the last seasons, connecting on 40 percent of his three-point attempts, according to NBA.com.
