Fulton County residents who have questions about water quality can read the annual water quality report released by the county, the 2021 Consumer Confidence Report: From the River to the Tap.

North Fulton's drinking water comes from a protected watershed in the Chattahoochee River basin, a release by Fulton County Public Works said. Fulton County, several environmental groups and the state of Georgia closely monitor the water quality for the Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton and Roswell residents served by the water system.

"Across the country, concerns about the safety of public water supplies are at an all-time high. But here at Fulton County, the resilience and integrity of our drinking water is a top priority and we work to stay ahead of emerging issues,” Public Works Director David E. Clark said in the release.

The 2021 Consumer Confidence Report: From the River to the Tap highlights the water treatment process, changes in the water supply, water conservation, water clogging issues and "Keep it Clean Georgia," a partnership with the Georgia Department of Transportation to fight litter from contaminating county waterways, the release said. Water for North Fulton is processed by the Tom Lowe Atlanta-Fulton County Water Treatment Plant, which recently celebrated 30 years of "award-winning water," the release said.

Residents may call the Department of Public Works at 404-612-7400 to request a hard copy of the report.
