The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is reminding businesses in Georgia to apply for working capital loans before the July 13 deadline. The disaster loan program is available to small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture, and most private nonprofit organizations affected by the severe flood damage from Hurricane Ida from Aug. 30 to Sept. 1, 2021.

According to the National Cancer Institute Center for Cancer Research, esophageal adenocarcinoma, the most common form of esophageal cancer, is often linked to a condition called Barrett’s Esophagus, which is believed to affect about one percent, or approximately 3.3 million, of people in the U.S. Esophageal cancer is often not found until it is advanced, but it can be treated successfully if it is found early through screenings. Early detection saves lives, and this screening technology can identify pre-cancerous cells that can be effectively eradicated.
