Tim Brackett has been named director of district applications for Fulton County Schools, according to a May 14 announcement. Brackett brings more than 25 years of experience in information technology, with over 15 years focused on delivering data, business intelligence, and web-based solutions within education environments.

Brackett’s appointment is significant as it comes at a time when educational institutions are increasingly relying on robust data systems to support decision-making and improve outcomes. His expertise in systems design, data integration, and team leadership is expected to strengthen the district’s technology infrastructure.

During his seven years with Fulton County Schools, Brackett has played a key role in advancing several district-wide data initiatives. These include developing a public-facing Balanced Scorecard and integrating multiple data sources into unified reporting solutions. The announcement said he “brings a strong background in systems design, data integration, and team leadership, with a focus on building reliable, scalable solutions that support organizational goals.”

The statement also highlighted his commitment to supporting education through technology: “Tim is passionate about using technology to support education and is committed to delivering systems that are both dependable and user-friendly for staff and students.” In his new position as director of district applications, Brackett will focus on strengthening the school system’s technological foundation while planning for future growth.

As schools continue adapting to evolving digital needs, leaders like Brackett are seen as important figures in shaping how districts use technology moving forward.
