This week in North Fulton County history.

Born May 9, 1989; known for NFL football career

Clint Boling was born on May 9, 1989. He grew up in the Alpharetta area and attended Chattahoochee High School in Johns Creek. He played football and basketball, and earned All-State honors. In 2006, he was inducted into the school’s Gridiron Hall of Fame. Boling played college football at the University of Georgia, starting 49 games and earning All-SEC honors three times. In 2011, the Cincinnati Bengals selected him in the fourth round of the NFL Draft. He became a starting guard in his second season. From 2012 to 2018, he started every game he played. He signed a five-year contract extension in 2015. Boling appeared in 114 games during his career. On July 15, 2019, he retired from the NFL after eight seasons. Boling’s career connects Alpharetta to professional football through years of consistent performance and dedication.
