Businesses in Alpharetta are reminded to renew their Business Occupation Tax by February 15 each year to maintain an active status. The City of Alpharetta emphasizes the importance of timely renewal to avoid penalties and interest charges.

"Licenses expire on December 31 each year," according to the city guidelines. Renewals submitted after April 1 will incur a "10% penalty plus 1.5% interest per month." Businesses submitting applications after June 1 must file a new application altogether.

The city also requires that any outstanding taxes or fees be settled before renewal can be processed. Detailed instructions for renewing business licenses can be found at https://bit.ly/3DKA3AU.

For further assistance, businesses are encouraged to visit the city's website or contact them via email at businesslicenses@alpharetta.ga.us.

"Thank you for being a part of what makes Alpharetta a great place to do business!" reads the closing note from the city.
