Additionally, this improper disposal poses safety risks for both motorists and pedestrians and increases public service costs.

Residents who employ landscape maintenance services should note that they are responsible for ensuring their landscapers do not blow leaves or trimmings into streets or storm drains.

Alpharetta provides yard waste disposal as part of every resident's garbage and recycling collection account. The city encourages residents to collect and bag leaves and yard trimmings for pickup on designated trash and recycling days. Alternatively, composting yard waste for mulch use in natural areas is suggested.
