Georgia voters are encouraged to participate in the upcoming election on Tuesday, November 5. Polls will be open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Residents of Alpharetta should visit their designated polling precincts to cast their votes.
To vote in person, Georgia voters must present one of six valid forms of photo identification. These include a Georgia driver's license (even if expired), a valid state or federal government photo ID, a valid U.S. passport, a valid government employee photo ID (city, county, state or U.S. government), a valid U.S. military photo ID, or a valid Tribal photo ID.
For those without any of these IDs, an official Georgia Voter photo ID card can be obtained free of charge at any Georgia Department of Driver Services or the Fulton County Registration and Elections Department. To acquire an ID card, voters may contact Georgia's Department of Driver Services at 678-413-8400, 678-413-8500, or 678-413-8600. The Fulton County Government Center, North Fulton Service Center and South Fulton Service Center also provide this service. Applicants need to show proof of Georgia residency, registered voter status, and documentation of their date of birth for issuance.
The Georgia Voter ID card is specifically for voting purposes only.
