Alpharetta appoints Suzanne Swain as Community Relations Manager

The City of Alpharetta has announced Suzanne Swain as its new Community Relations Manager. With extensive experience in outreach, leadership, and community engagement, Swain also brings a solid background in project management and relationship building to her new role. Her responsibilities will include spearheading initiatives to enhance civic participation.

Prior to this appointment, Swain worked as the Director of Outreach for U.S. Representative Rich McCormick. In that role, she represented the congressional office and developed community programming.

Chris Lagerbloom, City Administrator, commented on Swain's appointment: “Suzanne has earned a strong reputation for her dedication to public service and her ability to create connections within communities, making her an ideal fit for Alpharetta.”

Swain's career includes various leadership roles demonstrating her commitment to empowering others. Her passion for civic engagement was evident during her time at TeenPact Leadership Schools where she mentored future leaders. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for No Longer Bound and is a member of the Rotary Club of North Fulton.

In response to her new position, Swain stated: "Alpharetta stands out for its good governance and exciting opportunities, and I’m really looking forward to enhancing the city’s influence throughout the state and region.” She added that her goal is “to build bridges within our community and encourage residents and businesses to take an active role in shaping the future of Alpharetta."
