Wire and Wood Music Festival causes road closures in Downtown Alpharetta

The Wire and Wood Music Festival is set to take place in Downtown Alpharetta this Friday and Saturday, resulting in several road closures, including a section of State Route 9. Motorists are advised to avoid the area during these times, and visitors should prepare for potential travel delays and increased pedestrian traffic.

Specific roads will be closed as follows:

- North Broad Street will be closed from Thursday, October 10 at 5 a.m. until 6 p.m.

- From Friday, October 11 at 5 a.m. through Sunday, October 13 at 4 a.m., Milton Avenue from the Milton Avenue parking deck entrance to HWY9; Roswell/Canton Street from Old Roswell Street to Old Canton Street; and Old Roswell Street from the parking lot entrance to Milton Avenue will be closed.

- Commerce Street & N. Broad Street and Market Street from S. Broad Street to Academy Street will be closed starting Friday, October 11 at 9 a.m. through Sunday, October 13 at 4 a.m.

- Highway 9 from Milton Avenue to Old Milton Parkway and South Broad Street & Market Street to City Hall parking deck entrance will be inaccessible on Friday and Saturday, October 11 starting at 10 a.m. through Sunday, October 13 at 1 a.m.

- Park Plaza from Academy St. to City Hall parking deck entrance will close on Friday and Saturday, October 11 from 4 p.m. until midnight & again on Saturday, October 12 from 10 a.m. until midnight.

Parking options for event attendees include the Milton Ave parking deck (92 Milton Ave), Roswell Street lot (45 Roswell St.), Old Roswell Street lot (27 Old Roswell St.), City Hall parking deck (2 Park Plaza), or Alpharetta Community Center (175 Roswell St.). On-street parking along affected roads will not be available starting Friday, October 11 at 5:00 a.m., with restrictions lifting by Sunday, October 13 at around early morning hours.

Vehicles left on these streets during closure times risk being ticketed or towed.
