South Fulton Police have charged two men with being part of a major drug operation following a year-long probe into illegal drug activity across the area, a recent FOX 5 Atlanta report said.
With the use of multiple search warrants, authorities in conjunction with the South Metro S.W.A.T. team seized multiple items.
"The South Fulton Police Department is committed to working with our law enforcement partners to stop drugs from infiltrating our community," Police Chief Keith Meadows told FOX 5 Atlanta. "Drug dealers will be held responsible for their actions through proactive enforcement such as this."
Following the search of a residence in the 3400 block of Lee Place where multiple search warrants were reported to have been executed, the Department’s Narcotics & Gang Units and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s West Metro Regional Drug Enforcement Office arrested two men.
Among the items and contraband seized during the multiple raids were two handguns, 92 grams of mushrooms, 47 grams of cocaine, 301 grams of liquid promethazine, $110.00 in U.S. currency and 6.7 pounds of marijuana (3,047 Grams); FOX 5 reported.
The warrants carried charges that included possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a Schedule I Narcotic with intent to distribute, trafficking cocaine, trafficking amphetamines, possession of a Schedule III Narcotic, possession of drug-related objects and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
