AAHOA Officers and President & CEO Laura Lee Blake were in D.C. on Tuesday, September 27, meeting with Senator John Hickenlooper (D-CO), who sits both on the Small Business Committee and the Senate Commerce Committee. They discussed SBA loan limit increases, promoting fairness and transparency in the franchise industry, and more. This meeting followed close on the heels of AAHOA’s successful Fall National Advocacy Conference and further sheds light on issues that matter most to America’s hotel owners. It’s no secret that small businesses are the backbone of the U.S. economy, and hotels are no exception. AAHOA Member-owned hotels contribute $8.5 billion to Colorado’s GDP and generate more than 100,000 total impact jobs.
