City of Roswell recently issued the following announcement.
The City of Roswell is the recipient of the “Gold Award for Water Distribution System Excellence” from the Georgia Section of the American Water Works Association and the Georgia Association of Water Professionals (GAWP). This is the fourth consecutive year Roswell has won this award.
"This is an important accomplishment, and speaks volumes about the exceptional commitment and level of service that the City of Roswell provides their customers," said Brian Skeens, President-Elect of GAWP.
The Gold Award recognizes water distribution systems that have operated in an outstanding manner. Roswell’s water system hosted auditors from GAWP who spent four to six hours inspecting every aspect of the distribution system. The auditors evaluated hundreds of pages of documentation and surveyed many specific areas. Roswell scored 95 points out of a possible 100 in their inspection.
"I’m proud of my staff and their work," said Chris Boyd, Roswell’s Water Utility Manager. "They do an excellent job providing the public with safe and reliable drinking water."
GAWP is Georgia's professional association of nearly 4,000 water and wastewater professionals and serves to educate and assist those who have an interest in the proper management and protection of Georgia's water resources.
