Four transfers with various levels of collegiate football experience will be donning Yellow Jacket jerseys next season.

Junior Luke Benson, redshirt sophomore Zach Gibson, redshirt sophomore Pierce Quick and sophomore Paul Tchio have all joined Georgia Tech's roster, the university reported in a press release.

"I'm excited to welcome Luke, Zach, Pierce and Paul to the Georgia Tech football family," head coach Geoff Collins said in the release. "All four are very talented football players, outstanding students and great young men that will be very valuable members of our football program on and off the field. I can't wait to get back to work with our team."

Benson is a tight end with two seasons of eligibility left who played three seasons at Syracuse University, Georgia Tech reported. He played in all 11 games in 2020, starting five, and has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Gibson was a quarterback at the University of Akron for three seasons, Georgia Tech reported. While there he completed 226 out of 370 of his passes for 2,471 yards, made 15 touchdowns and caught eight interceptions. He has three seasons of eligibility left.

Quick is an offensive lineman who was with the University of Alabama for three years, making eight appearances including three games against Southeastern Conference (SEC) opponents and one game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. He was redshirted in 2019 and is eligible to play three more seasons, Georgia Tech reported.

Tchio is another offensive lineman who played two seasons at Clemson University, Georgia Tech reported. He made five appearances last year, including some time against the University of Georgia, the team that went on to win the national championship. Tchio has three seasons of eligibility remaining.

Tech is looking to build on last season, when the Yellow Jackets went 3-9 overall, 2-6 in the Atlantic Coast Conference, Georgia Tech reported.
