Three Georgia Tech volleyball players have earned spots on the Louisville All-Region Team.
Senior right-side hitter Mariana Brambilla, senior setter Matti McKissock and freshman outside hitter Bianca Bertolino have been chosen to join the All-Region Team of the Louisville Regional, Georgia Tech said in a statement.
"Georgia Tech’s historic season concluded at 26-6 overall and 14-4 in ACC play after advancing to the Elite Eight for the second time in program history," the school said. "The Jackets made back-to-back NCAA tournament appearances for the first time since advancing to the Big Dance five consecutive seasons from 2000-04."
Brambilla, a native of Porto Alegre, Brazil, finished with the tournament with 45 kills and a team-leading 34 digs. She kicked off the regional with 18 kills and 18 digs and against the undefeated Cardinals, she landed a career-best 27 kills and 16 digs.
McKissock finished with 84 assists, 11 digs, five kills and four block assists. The Windermere, Fla., native also pulled off 42 assists against Ohio State and had another 42 assists Louisville, along with 10 digs, four kills and three block assists.
Freshman Bertolino, a native of Argentina, finished with 18 kills and 21 digs. Against the Buckeyes, she had a total of eight kills, 11 digs, an assist and a solo block.
The No. 8 seed Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets swept No. 9 seed Ohio State in the Sweet 16 before falling to undefeated, No. 1 seed Louisville.
