Isaiah Oliver, the Atlanta Falcon cornerback, went down with a knee injury that didn't look good for him during the team's Oct. 3 loss to Washington.
After an MRI was performed, he was placed on an injured reserve.
"He wasn't able to continue, halting a promising season where he seemed to get his career on track working within Dean Pees' scheme," the team said in a press release.
Being placed on IR means Oliver will be out for at least three games. However, it is still not certain as to how many games he will be missing since he took quite a hard hit.
Oliver has drawn praise from coaches and teammates this season for his steady play, the release said.
He was hurt while rushing the QB on a corner blitz and had to be helped off the field, according to the release.
