Free Candidate Training Workshop

City of Roswell issued the following announcement on July 12.

Members of the community interested in running for public office are invited to attend a Workshop for Candidate Training at Roswell City Hall on Tuesday, August 3, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This free workshop will be presented by the Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission (GGT & CFC) (formally known as the State Ethics Commission).

The workshop introduces current public officials, candidates, and other interested members of the public to the Campaign Finance Act and how it applies to candidates and public officials. Topics may include preliminary matters, definitions, forms, reports, late filing fees, contribution limits and campaign records. Training staff from GGT & CFC will be conducting the workshop and will be available to answer questions.

Those interested in attending should RSVP by Thursday, July 29, 2021, to Marlee Press, Roswell City Clerk, at mpress@roswellgov.com or 770-594-6280.

Roswell City Hall is located at 38 Hill Street, Roswell, GA 30075. The workshop will be held in Room 220. For more information about the workshop and other GGT & CFC training, visit ethics.ga.gov.

Qualifying Week for those interested in running for municipal office in the November 2, 2021 City of Roswell General Municipal Election will be:

Monday, August 16 to Friday, August 20

8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Roswell City Hall, 38 Hill Street, Roswell, GA 30075

The next Roswell General Municipal Election, on November 2, 2021, is for the Mayor and Council Posts 4, 5, and 6.
