Roswell presents its Slip-N-Slide Extravaganza on July 17 at Leita Thompson Park for free, but reservations are required.
Three slides will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the park at 1200 Woodstock Road for those residents who make their hour-long reservations, a release from Roswell.gov said.
"This free event will offer three slides, slide down one of two 200-foot slides or slip down the 50-foot slide," Roswell said.
Two 200-foot slides and a 50-foot slide will be available. Participants are encouraged to bring towels and inner tubes, though the latter are optional, the city said.
Attendees will receive a wristband upon entry to the Slip-N-Slide Extravaganza. They can enjoy an hour of fun on the slides. If extra time slots are available during the day of the event, participants may register on-site for additional slide time. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult who will be required to sign a waiver on-site. Free parking is available at the park.
Time slots can be reserved online. For more information, contact the Recreation, Parks, Historic and Cultural Affairs Department at 770-641-3705.
On-site donations will benefit Roswell's Adaptive Camps for Kids with Disabilities and Star House.
