State Representative Michelle Au (D-Johns Creek) is set to host a concert at the Georgia State Capitol on Friday, October 3, 2025. The event will feature members of the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra, led by new music director Henry Cheng, and singer Mikaela Ayira, who was a Top 20 finalist on The Voice.
The performance aims to recognize the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra for its upcoming international tour in Vietnam. This achievement places the orchestra among a small group of American orchestras—including the New York Philharmonic and the Minnesota Orchestra—that have performed in Vietnam over the past two decades.
A string quartet from the orchestra will be joined by a young artist in residence. Their program includes “Pizzicato Vietnam” by Đặng Hữu Phúc, K-pop selections blending BTS with Beethoven, Mikaela Ayira’s new single Disguise, and other works.
The Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra was established in 2007 and is noted as the only professional orchestra serving North Fulton, Gwinnett, Forsyth and nearby communities.
