Anthony Fisher was born on January 31, 1986, in Alpharetta, Georgia. His parents are William and Sandra Fisher. He grew up in Alpharetta and attended Chattahoochee High School in nearby Johns Creek. In high school, he played basketball. As a senior, he averaged 20 points and 4 assists per game. He was named Fulton County and Regional Player of the Year. He also earned a spot on the Georgia Class 5A All-State team.
After high school, he attended Tennessee Tech. He played basketball for the school from 2004 to 2008. In the 2006–07 season, he ranked third in the Ohio Valley Conference in scoring, free throw percentage, and assists. The next season, he remained among the top scorers in the conference. He was named to the All-OVC First Team in 2007 and Second Team in 2008. He finished his college career with 1,726 points, ranking fifth in school history.
After college, Fisher began a professional basketball career. On May 20, 2020, he signed with Maccabi Haifa in Israel. He played in the Israeli Basketball Premier League as a shooting guard.
Fisher’s connection to Alpharetta remained central. His early years in the city shaped his development as an athlete. His high school achievements gave him the platform to play at the college and professional levels.
