Clint Boling was born on May 9, 1989. He grew up in the Alpharetta area and went to Chattahoochee High School in Johns Creek. He played tight end, offensive line, and defensive end. He led his team to the playoffs as a senior. He also played basketball. In 2006, he was added to the school’s Gridiron Hall of Fame.
Boling played at the University of Georgia from 2007 to 2010. He started 49 games at multiple positions. He was named All-SEC three times and earned freshman All-American honors. In 2010, he was an All-American and played in the Senior Bowl. He majored in Risk Management and Insurance.
In 2011, the Cincinnati Bengals drafted him in the fourth round. He started most games from his second season on. In 2015, he signed a five-year contract extension. He played 114 games and started 112, including playoffs. He retired on July 15, 2019, after eight NFL seasons.
Boling was a reliable player and consistent starter. His football journey connects Alpharetta and the University of Georgia to the NFL.
