Johns Creek residents are encouraged to mark their calendars for the upcoming Bulky Recycling Day scheduled for Saturday, June 15, 2024. The event, reserved exclusively for Johns Creek residents, necessitates pre-event registration and the presentation of a valid photo ID displaying the attendee's address. Businesses and contractors are kindly requested to refrain from participating.

Those interested in attending the event must take note of the registration deadline set by the organizers. "The registration deadline is Wednesday, June 5 at 5 p.m. or when attendee capacity is reached, whichever comes first. Registrations will not be accepted on-site," emphasized the event organizers. Additionally, volunteers are sought to assist during the event, with the organizers stating, "Volunteers are needed to help at the event. Sign up here to volunteer."

A diverse range of items will be accepted at the Bulky Recycling Day event, including bicycles, clothing, shoes, belts, small appliances, books, furniture, tools, large appliances, electronics, and more. However, the organizers have outlined a list of items that will not be accepted, such as medical waste, pharmaceuticals, sports equipment, waterbeds, vacuum cleaners, paint, fluids, construction materials, yard debris, and various others.

For items deemed unsuitable for recycling or reuse at the event, the organizers suggest exploring alternative donation methods through platforms like Craigslist, Freecycle, NextDoor, or Facebook Marketplace. Attendees are also advised to consult their waste hauler for appropriate waste solutions.

As the event is expected to draw significant participation, attendees are reminded to anticipate delays and advised to arrive well before 1 p.m. to ensure ample time for participation before the event's conclusion.
